Leftists are supposed to wait for a more convenient season for change. Getting the most votes in elections just shows how out of touch they are with most voters.

Unimportant, but trying to help
Another person conducting ICE abductions in New Jersey has been identified: Mike Smith of Warrington, PA, described by Jersey Counterinfo as “41 years, is married, is a homeowner, has two children, and is a Disney Adult.” He evidently is a U.S. Marshal: jerseycounterinfo.noblogs.org/nj-ice-agent...
I don’t know what to make of supposed “news” outlets like Reuters that report on victims of U.S. foreign policy by not mentioning the cause. To leave the impression that Cuba is failing for no reason, instead of being blockaded, is basically US propaganda. Why trust Reuters?
Cuba's national electrical grid collapsed again as authorities struggled to restore power following a nationwide blackout on August 2, state-run media reported, marking a fresh setback in the country's deepening energy crisis.
I have, with my own eyes, watched my tax dollars in the form of missiles as they hit buildings inhabited by civilians. I'd much prefer subsidizing a grocery story I don't use.
Opinion: Mamdani's idea may sound appealing, but it's NYC taxpayers who will take the hit, subsidizing discounts they may never even use.
Maybe a casual interest in contemporary discourse simply isn't sufficient to understand people's nuanced positions. But Maybe discourse through microblogging tends to drift, and people end up defending distorted, narrowed versions of their starting positions.
It's weird when people bristle at the idea of abolishing billionaires. Are you a billionaire? Is your mum one? Why do you care? It would be good to abolish billionaires. More money for public services, less money for them to buy rape islands.
This is a real phenomenon for people with a certain level of prominence. And, because social media operates around clusters of prominent users, lots of people see this in action. But, most users don't engage in a way where they experience this themselves.
Last week: people who aren't willing to gamble in the hypothetical about a payout or a 50% at a 10x payout are fools This week: US consumers have perfected the gamble of purchasing 75% quality goods at 74% cost (where consumers can't know either number)
No one: An anti-leftist liberal: ACAB includes armed anarchists that have decided to take matters into their own hands. Me: this sentence seems designed to obscure the true feelings of the person who wrote it.
I dunno, the fact that housing and medical costs are an increasing fraction of income kind of dictates that people have less available for everything else.
I think my most genuinely unpopular take is that a widely held and genuine consumer preference for cheaper, lower-quality goods, not private equity, is driving the decline in quality of consumer goods like clothing and housewares.
airbnb I’m staying at unintentionally created the toughest punk album cover of 2027
Who called it linguine in clam sauce when Noodle England Clam Chowder is right there?
I'm old enough to remember the GMO yelling. I'm old enough to remember learning that recombinant DNA stuff was used for good things AND as a way for Monsanto to fuck people over. AI is echoing this. Every public facing instance is shit, and it's being used to benefit terrible people.
Odyssey this. Odyssey that. We Odyssey ICE abolished.
Gotta shut down the factory that makes this kinda guy
The map's form: shuffle-able It shows: urban wildlife Its purpose: to indicate belonging
Abolish the United States.
A cartoonist named Daniel "Des" Rolando Sanchez Estrada was tried as a terrorist and sentenced to 30 years in prison for having anti-Trump comics in his car. Prosecutors connected him to a 2025 anti-ICE protest he didn't even attend because he was in the same book club as others who were.
‘School Choice’ policies are a scam. For starts you need spare thousands to spend on each child - tens of thousands for many private schools. And that cuts off access to all families on a budget. And bottom line - private schools choose who they will enrol and too bad if they don’t want your child.
Given the sudden intense interest in historically accurate Greek art, I am proposing an NC-17 Lysistrata
The true fascistic result of Russia's 21st-century attempts to conquer Ukraine appears to be an acceleration in military elitism and technological warfare. We're celebrating the development of tools which make war more palatable
It is amazing that the 250th anniversary of America was pretty much just not a thing. You could tell all the companies thought it would be, they had 250th ketchup and ice cream and energy drinks but all we got was a shit ass fair that no one went to
I refuse to learn the names of any new English prime ministers, it is a complete waste of effort to be honest
Can’t believe they’re making The Odyssey AGAIN! Find new stories. Tell tales that speak to our own times! Would it kill them to do something fresh? Sheesh. I guess we’ll never see a 21st Century Odyssey. A space one.
