It seems like there has been an explosion of bottom-tier, quasi-disposable goods from sites like Shein in recent years. Stuff that's not just cheap but eye-poppingly cheap. But a KitchenAid today is probably better and cheaper than a KitchenAid 30 years ago.

While the story is superior in either case, the difference between gameplay at launch vs now is stark.
