💥🇭🇺🗳️ WOW! 54.14% turnout by 1pm in Hungary’s historic election (vs 40.01% in 2022), where voters could end Viktor Orbán’s 16-year rule. Massive participation, in line with independent pollsters’ predictions – who also predicted a massive opposition win. Polls close at 7pm.

I've lagged on my intention to sporadically share data, when we get it, on recent special elections where we've seen large swings to Dems, looking under the head in an effort to get a sense of what drove these results and what they might mean for November. Back at it - IASD01.

This is my favorite climate change chart. Japanese monks, aristocrats, and emperors kept meticulous records of cherry blossom festivals for 1,200 years and accidentally built the world's longest climate dataset.

Surveys show only half of Republicans identify as MAGA. Trump’s numbers among the other half are cratering. That’s the electoral threat posed by the political fallout over Iran. It doesn’t matter what “MAGA” does, it matters what non-MAGA Reps do. www.gelliottmorris.com/p/2026-03-22...

CNN's "100% MAGA Trump approval" segment omits key nuance for virality

Plus, voters overwhelmingly oppose putting boots on the ground in Iran. Your weekly political data roundup for March 22, 2026.
