I've decided to compile a definitive thread of photos of the best sheep I've photographed during my walks in the countryside, together with supporting biographical information. I will put the vital story associated with each sheep in the alt text, since some of it is a little long to fit in a post.

A nihilistic sheep, who, like so many other sheep, just wants to watch the world burn, staring at me insouciantly, moments after it has set fire to a large portion of the United Kingdom.

The WNBA has never had a trans woman play in the league’s 30-year history and now the right and other anti-trans activists are hammering the league over something that has never been an issue, proving once again it isn’t about protection but exhibiting cruelty toward trans people.

another reason i urge y'all to go in-person & when you can (besides being able to touch the documents) & trying multiple resources is bc these databases aren't fool-proof the document i just searched for doesn't come up but i know it's there bc i got it DIRECTLY from the archive (2nd pic)

The Compiled Service Records have all been scanned for USCT by Fold3 - they often open up free access for Black History Month. The Freedmen’s Bureau Records were scanned and transcribed by NMAAHC volunteers and are (for now) all available online for free: nmaahc.si.edu/explore/free... 2/2

eBay will pay $56 million to the couple behind EcommerceBytes. The company tried to silence their coverage with a harassment campaign, including sending shipments of live cockroaches and a bloody pig mask. A portion of the $$ will go to First Amendment charities www.nytimes.com/2026/07/28/t...

I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. I crowdsourced and then finalized this document "How to disable or avoid intrusive AI" and then gave it a short URL: notoai.org Please pass along if it's useful

An aircraft passenger oxygen mask: a drop down passenger mask with air bag and yellow plastic mouth and nose cover, oxygen tube has been cut; Demonstration model used by flight attendant crew for passenger instruction. Has text on the side indicating that it's non-functional.

This really isn’t the app that I use for my fitness hobbies, but there is a major Nazi scandal going on in the powerlifting world right now where one of the beastiest (laudatory) women powerlifters in the world (Sonita Muluh) got robbed of a world record squat (over 700lbs) by a spotter

This is good advice for anyone. If a person or situation seems off leave. I once had a doctor's appointment and when he came in I could tell he was upset and agitated. Did I leave? No. Did I have to repeat a painful medical procedure because the first doctor fucked up? Yes. Be smarter than me.

Dear young adults,
You can leave.
If you don't like your doctor, walk out in the middle of your appointment.

Leave the party. End the date. Don't wait until the "polite time" to leave or endure because you think you'll make a scene.

You can go.
