Kristen is fighting eviction and needs help desperately. Anything you can do. Rent is due the 1st, and back rent needs paying so literally anything helps. Can we get $250 by the end of the month? PP/Venmo/CashApp all at geekgirldiva. Image of my kitty Ethan being a very fierce hunter.

New goal: get Kristen's car worked on so we can fix or sell it (It's currently dead but still has payments for the loan and insurance). To do that, we need a minimum of 95 for the diagnostic and 100 for AAA and the tow. Can we get $200 this week to tackle this? www.gofundme.com/f/help-krist...

It’s worth noting that JK Rowling is not only funding meritless legal challenges against trans people until they can appeal up to the court that will back them, she openly gloats about how this is where her money is going. This is what the Harry Potter TV show is bankrolling.

Went too far in raising awareness of the prevalence of sexual abuse & harassment. Went too far in trying to hold abusers & harassers accountable. Went too far in highlighting that abuse & harassment dramatically outstrips false accusations. Went too far in showing how survivors are treated.

Incredibly ironic to see the worst politicians using this moment to get press about how they don’t give a shit about women by saying me too went too far. That’s exactly what virtue singling is, you fucking ghoulish idiots.

“What we’re seeing is a wholesale abandonment of consumer protection, leaving people to fend for themselves when credit card companies, banks, payday lenders and payment apps violate the law,” said Lauren Saunders of the National Consumer Law Center.

The reason that the US is locking up tourists for weeks in hellish detention centers rather than letting them book tickets back home is because the detention centers are owned by corporations. They are charging the taxpayers fortunes to cage these people, and making bonanzas off their suffering.

The Administration for Community Living, housed in HHS, is shutting down. I spoke to disability experts for @motherjones.com about questions they have for what’s next, the services ACL provides, and how this move may lead to more folks being institutionalized. www.motherjones.com/politics/202...

The shutdown will mean "more people forced into institutional settings."

My legal bills as a nonparty will top $2 million before Cuomo’s legal abuse is over. “I’ve spent roughly $1.5 million on lawyers so far…a figure that doesn’t include “hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of trauma therapy.” @rollingstone.com www.rollingstone.com/politics/pol...

My theory is there aren't as many protests against cutting Medicaid as there are Tesla protests these days as organizers aren't as in touch with disabled and aging people, who tend to be more isolated.

Do you get it yet, law firms? What’s happening isn’t an isolated threat to Paul Weiss or Covington or Perkins Coie. It’s an existential threat to the independence of the legal profession. You’re a fool if you think you won’t be next. Say something. Do something.

In fact, a White House official said on Friday that despite the deal reached with Paul Weiss, Mr. Trump would continue to target law firms with executive orders, including some the president could sign as early as next week.
In the Oval Office on Friday, Mr. Trump asserted that law firms "did bad things" and had attacked him "ruthlessly, violently, illegally." But now, he said, they "want to make deals."
