People, what’s the etiquette here? If you leave a webinar early because you realise the speaker’s presentation is ChatGPT-generated, should you explain yourself, apologise to the organisers for leaving, or just go and make a cup of tea while seething to yourself?

I’d love to know what people outside the industry think “data centre” actually means, because no one I know expects them to contain any jobs at all. As someone who has built several: any employee is a design flaw.

One of the biggest ever shakeups in the organisation of English government which could well herald a major political economy turning point. Sort of surprised it’s not on more news website front pages.

This has really pissed me off, if you're in the area and can afford it go and give the cafe owner some money to help fund the kids meals. And if he refuses buy yourself a nice coffee and tip him as much as you can. Fuck Reform taking food from kids in need. www.mirror.co.uk/news/politic...

i feel like a good metaphor for this would be a hot new chef having a meal laid out when their investors arrive (they actually ordered take out) so they get huge investment and on the restaurants opening night their kitchen staff immediately realizes the chef dosent know how to even turn on the oven

interesting thing that is rarely talked about with authors trying to use AI in debut novels: you will get caught once edits start or at MOST on book two. self publishing is different i suppose, but anyone out there trying to break into traditional publishing with AI clearly does not know the process

I am pleased* to report that removing the central plot line from your book and adding in that side quest you cut for reasons of space does in fact improve the story considerably. (* I am not actually at all pleased)

This is why it's so important to not refer to the Supreme Court ruling or EHRC guidance as a "ban" on trans people existing in public spaces. Doing so is giving these people exactly what they want! They want trans people to remove themselves from society voluntarily. They want to encourage violence.

An underreported part of UK Transphobe Lawfare™ is that when they lose, they just... say they won. For all the regrettable sway they do have in courts/govt etc, their real power is in the press. So if they lose, they just pretend they didn't and their press friends print the lie. It's ubiquitous.
