I’m teaching a short course next week, with Oscar Lopez-Pamies. Really happy with the response we’ve received so far in terms of participants:

Hard to overstate the damage tonight’s 60 minutes segment on vaccine injury will do.

We were fortunate enough to attend the Noah Kahan concert last night, in Raleigh. It was one of the most incredible and beautiful concerts I’ve ever attended.
Wait. They all shake hands at the end? What are we even doing here? He's the US President suing you for $20 billion for reporting on the birthday card he sent his friend the pedophile in which he drew a naked girl & mused about secrets. And they all shake hands?
Remarkable camera angle of President Trump as he listens to Wall Street Journal reporters receiving an award for their investigation into Trump’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein — which they pursued despite Trump’s threats and lawsuit.

Hats off to Norway. What a great run, shame it has come to an end. Best of luck to the England squad going forward.
I truly don’t see how this country can go on if we don’t ban online sports betting. This story is stomach-turning.
FanDuel sent a personal message from Phillies star Bryce Harper to a customer with a gambling addiction
Terry Thompson lost $1.5 million on bets he placed with FanDuel. The company gave him VIP treatment — including a personalized video message from the Phillies' All-Star first baseman.

Pleased to talk to @gregsargent.bsky.social abt NATO summit. Maybe we can rebuild trust someday, but we'll be on the receiving end of "trust, but verify" and significant hedging for a while. Europe sees Trump as the single point of failure for the West, and doesn't want to be at the whim of the US.
When a Danish journo nailed NATO's Mark Rutte for flattering Trump while he wrecks the alliance, it captured a larger truth: Europe is realizing a country that elected Trump twice can never be trusted again. On the pod, @profsaunders.bsky.social brilliantly explains: newrepublic.com/article/2128...
Occasionally sporting some epically terrible Platner takes among my follows tonight and… that’s an easy unfollow.
Why yes, that’s a Spain fan air guitarring an inflatable Iberico ham leg. How can you not be romantic about the World Cup.

Hearn says, very plausibly, that he was arrested just for touching a piece of blue coating that had already peeled off the surface. Which is a hell of a lot more believable than “Olympian randomly decides to vandalize national monument.”
Breaking news: A grand jury in D.C. has indicted David Hearn, a three-time Olympian, for allegedly vandalizing the newly refurbished Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. More details here:
This needs to be watched by a lot more people.
Veteran who fought fascist, now pissed they’re in the White House.
"It's over, right?" a journo asked me this morning about the birthright citizenship case. No. No legal or political result is final unless the losing side gives up fighting. They will try again. New prez, new judges. There's a social movement based on racial grievance + scapegoating immigrants.

Almost certainly premature, but: if the 19th century was the age of industrialization, and the 20th century was the "Information Age", the 21st century will be the age of solar. Countries that prioritize solar development will have immense economic advantages over those that don't.
I believe I’m going to block my calendar to allow me to watch every remaining World Cup match that Messi is in from now on. We are witnessing something special.
"Did Lalas enjoy an elite playing career? No. But does he do the background reading that could compensate for his relative lack of standing in a conversation with titans like Henry and Zlatan? Also no. But is he charming or funny or charismatic or otherwise magnetic on screen? Eh, no."
This is incredible. So satisfying. I was going to say it’s “cutting” but it’s more a knifing to the gut or maybe a beheading. www.theguardian.com/football/202...
