"subsidizing discounts they may never even use" IT'S CALLED SERVING THE PUBLIC GOOD. THAT'S WHAT TAXES ARE FOR. Your taxes pay for parks and libraries for the good of the community, even if you don't use them, that's literally how it works!

The US just put tariffs on most of the other countries in the world, the legal justification being a law permitting tariffs on countries insufficiently policing the use of slave labor.
Chad Loder@chadloder.dev · 4d agoThe diarrhea lettuce company, Taylor Farms, uses slave labor contracted from the Arizona Dept. of Corrections. The backbreaking labor is often performed by imprisoned Mexican nationals who would be otherwise ineligble to work in the US. They are paid $1.50 an hour.
I had an experience watching the Odyssey very similar to reading a Grant Morrison comic. In places the storytelling was so compressed that it was hard to know what you were seeing as Nolan switched between multiple moments across time overlaid on dialogue that was impossible to understand.
Instead of talking about “circadian rhythms” they should just say, “your brain is going to wake you up at the normal time no matter when you went to bed unless it finds a more inconvenient solution.”
If Robert Eggers had made The Odyssey we would’ve 100% seen some cyclops dong.

Wasn't too happy with my performance at the Mt. Davis Challenge, but at least I had this going for me.
After getting into watching cyclocross last year, this new thing where cyclocross legends push the greatest endurance athlete in the world to his absolute limit in the final stage of the Tour de France is fantastic and has made the race 25% more exciting.
