I hadn’t been camping in a few years and so when I went this last weekend I was shocked at how many satellites I could see while looking at the stars. There was scarcely a moment when a satellite wasn’t visibly scooting across the sky. Depressing that it will get visibly much worse.
Reflect Orbital plan to ruin the night sky by putting thousands of mirrors in orbit. They are not the first to try doing this - thirty years ago the Russians put the first, and so far only, reflective mirror in orbit. 🧪🔭

I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time.
