AES won 11 of the 12 counties where Michigan has federally recognized Indian tribes. He campaigned in some of these places, met with tribal leaders and representatives, and organized here. Sadly, this isn't a common thing in statewide races in Michigan.

It suggests pelagic elasmobranchs here may have lower plastic exposure than we'd assume, and gives us a solid baseline to track change over time.
