People who behave like this in a hospital should still be treated, but they shld have to wait however long it takes until a doctor/nurse fitting their preferences goes on shift, and they should have to sit out that wait in a public waiting room wearing a gown with "racist" printed all over it.

Immigration stuff mainly. Failed drummer. Apparently I can "f*** right off". Qué arte tienes.
Rob hints at this but it’s worth reiterating that a major failure of the Starmer government was their inability to convey a consistent antiracist message or uphold norms. They confused anger about ‘the boats’ with generalised racism and since they couldn’t denounce the former they avoided the latter
This is what happens when anti-racism norms erode, and elites bear a lot of the responsibility for norm erosion, as they have disproportionate power to set and enforce norms
It's sort of wild that the US president declares war and announces peace deals 3-4 times a week now and it's just...barely even news any more? Could it be unhealthy? Who can say!
Update: No deal, back to war, Trump says.
every single day I am baffled by the fact that this man - this incredibly, astoundingly embarrassing man - is the one half the damn country built a cult of personality around
Trump: “The Winning Shot in the Bedminster Club Championship! Thank you very much to all of those who participated. I won with a 70, & am so honored in that, unlike the rest of the field, I’m given very little time to practice, bc I’m focused on many other things. It’s called TALENT, and I have it”

The Ceuta 'crisis' is just political fuckery from Morocco in retaliation for Sánchez' visit to Algeria in July. It's all related to the conflict in Western Sahara. It has nothing to do with Spain's enforcement of the EU's external border. Amazing how thin EU solidarity is on this issue.

Beware complacency, nothing is decided. Burnham is having a honeymoon, but the economic fundamentals remain the same: bad. And remember this: the only thing preventing the right uniting is personal animosity. That can be buried for power. On policy, the Tories and Reform basically speak as one.
A fascist party founded just months ago polled 8.7%, ahead of the Conservatives, in the Manchester mayoral election. What’s happening on the right of British politics is terrifying.

We're near the ten-year anniversary of this interview, which was viewed as wildly controversial at the time. It led to hit pieces on me from liberal outlets like The New Republic as well as death threats. Now it's seen as conventional wisdom -- but it always was!
I've been seeing a lot of people responding to this with "there ought to be a law," but importantly, we haven't needed a law for this sort of thing because no prior president wanted to be known as a leader who would literally kill people in their hour of need for not voting for him
This is honestly one of the most shocking images coming out of this administration and that’s saying something

Amazing how many of the people currently creating havoc around the world were radicalised during covid.
I realise this is Restore Britain etc etc, but it's nonetheless pretty shocking.
This statement by UEFA on FIFA attempting to sell off the World Cup gave me goosebumps, what a statement - the beautiful game deserves no less “As so long as Europe has a voice, it will never be for sale.”
Pretty staggering to look at British history and say antisemitism has been imported from outside
The Telegraph today has Nicole Lampert attributing antisemitism to migrants from Muslim majority countries. Until a few years back she was exclusively a showbiz reporter. Anyway her argument has a few problems. www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/07...
I’ve known this was coming and so has everyone else. It doesn’t exist, keep burning, it doesn’t exist, keep burning, oh, it *does* exist but it’s too late to do anything, so keep burning. The sheer cynicism should carry a jail sentence.
Nighty night.

I’ve lost count of how many conversations I’ve had with parents who espouse vocational training for other people’s children but a four-year degree for their own
A new survey of parents finds that most want their kids to pursue some type of education after high school, although they're worried about affordability. And that "job training or certification" category? That's largely done by higher education. www.insidehighered.com/news/student...
