He/Him. Participating in society even though I think we should change society. Abolish the Police, Black Lives Matter, Trans Rights are Human Rights, Borders are Violence. Free Palestine!

Hunter Biden of all people said some true shit and it went viral. People are desperate to see some passion. We're desperate to see fight. My message to Dem leaders and consultants is simple. If Hunter fucking Biden can capture our attention and you can't, maybe that's worth reflecting on.

Wow—the Lemkin Institute for Genocide Prevention (named after Raphael Lemkin, a Holocaust survivor who coined the term genocide) says plainly: "No more discussions, meetings, reports, sessions, summits…IF YOU HAVE THE POWER, YOU MUST USE IT." "HISTORY WILL DETERMINE THE RECTITUDE OF YOUR ACTIONS."

The
@LemkinInstitute
 is calling on every leader in the world to step in immediately with measures that ensure food and water gets into Gaza right now.

No more discussions, meetings, reports, sessions, summits.

GET FOOD AND WATER INTO GAZA NOW.

IF YOU HAVE THE POWER, YOU MUST USE IT.

not to wade into the discourse but [proceeds to wade into discourse] I don't think that a broad definition of trans people is why we lost Skrmetti, I think we lost because we live in a state whose main lawmaking body is a reactionary unelected council of nine people who decided that fascism is good

Something monstrous about seeing more and more news confirming intentional deliberate starvation in Gaza and still see people center themselves by saying it makes them ‘uncomfortable’ to acknowledge that this is what it is

i swear at god. I got an email advertising this an hour ago. @humblebundle.com a disclaimer saying that the charity was "not involved in the selection of the content in this promotion" and that the content "do[es] not reflect or represent the views and opinions" doesn't absolve you of anything

Tip for guys who don’t want to be creeps, *especially* with acquaintances or strangers: complimenting choices, rather than attributes, comes off as much more sincere and normal! 😬 “you have beautiful eyes” ✅ “that smokey eye is awesome!” 🤢 anything about body parts ✅ “that is a really cute dress!”

would be cool if people could just reply 'you look nice!' and be normal but a lot of you are bad at that, somehow

The truth of the matter is, autistic children learn to mask, and will modify their behaviour based on your demands, means you might think you have taught them to overcome their autistic traits. You ain't. What you have done is you've forced them to comply at a high cost to their mental health.

The utility of the internet was immediately apparent. Free global communication at a time when long-distance phone calls were charged by the minute and faxes were the only way to send documents quickly? That was adopted at record speed. But "AI" is a solution in search of a problem.

Whenever someone gets mad at me for questioning the net usefulness of AI and says something like “you’re like the people who didn’t want to use the internet”—with love, I was born in 1997, and my life growing up online is all the evidence I need that we should handle AI differently than we are now

Sorry but personally if a miniature horse woke me up from anesthesia by banging out nonsense on a miniature keyboard it would send me into a liminal space between life and death from which I would never return

I remember once at work, we had a talk at work about bias in AI models, providing examples against women, LGBT, and immigrants. The speaker proposed no solution or an attempt at one - we just all kinda walked away with "Cool, glad we're being forced to use these or be terminated from our jobs."

Study finds A.I. LLMs advise women to ask for lower salaries than men. When prompted w/ a user profile of same education, experience & job role, differing only by gender, ChatGPT advised the female applicant to request $280K salary; Male applicant=$400K. thenextweb.com/news/chatgpt...
