By almost any reasonable standard, Abdul is wildly different than Platner— he’s not an unknown, he’s thoroughly vetted, there’s no allegations or hint of ugliness. The murmured equivalencies were embarrassing for the writers who deployed it.

I'm not irritated by Dirty Work, just by people who buy it. And the "AES is Platner" articles and insinuations were dirty work, and some folks who traded in it are absolute Suckers who should not be heeded going forward.

THINGS ALLOWED TO BE ANXIOUS WHEN THEY HAVE UNEXPRESSED THOUGHTS - infants - cocker spaniels - your buddy Craig who works at 7-11 and is high all the time THINGS NOT ALLOWED TO BE ANXIOUS - people who can launch nuclear weaponry

Sen. John Kennedy on Trump's blatant reflecting pool lies: "The president says it was caused by vandals. I don't know if he really believes that or it's part of his political messaging or he's just thinking out loud ... he grows anxious when he has an unexpressed thought."

And in the specific case of mental disorders, which are psychological constructs using socially learned information rather than true social constructions themselves, the difference between "constructed" and "in the brain" is literally nonsense

there are a lot of philosophical concepts that get egregiously misused out of the seminar room (and in the seminar room, to be fair). but in terms of sheer pernicious misuse "social construct" has gotta be top 5 somewhere and it's not number 5

Fact. I have spent more time explaining people’s misuse of “social construct” than any other philosophical concept. And it’s not close. I have a project in process and have probably 20 pages or so (not all together; spread throughout) on this issue.

Do air quality detectors have trouble with wildfire smoke? The air has been "moderate" hear for the past few days, but it's been hitting mh asthma. I just wore a mask outside for an hour and the felt over the metal band is smoke-stained

Two FFP masks. One in its wrapper below one used. The color of the felt over the metal nose guard on the used mask has turned brown.

I watched the Doomsday trailer but watched the old Iron Man one first to compare, and I guess Iron Man was trying to make it look like the movie will be enjoyable to watch and Doomsday is trying to show you which Marvel stuff they've put in this one
