I designed some 3D printed components to make a very inexpensive version of the @earthscope.org Earthquake Machine that hold a phone. It also allows for multiple variables such as elasticity (size of bands), surface roughness (grits of sandpaper) and mass (hollow brick to add weights).

This is insane. If you wonder why some of us think the rule of law is about to fall, it's this. The U.S. Attorney for DC is not "President Trump's lawyer" and its job is not to "protect his leadership" nor prosecute people who "refuse to put America first".
Today, the US stood with Russia and North Korea — and against our allies — in voting against a UN resolution to condemn Russia's aggression against Ukraine. Let that sink in. This is a betrayal of the Ukrainian people, our allies, our interests and those who aspire for freedom.
It's extremely worrying to see universities facing choices that can lead to this. Graduate education leads to new knowledge and future leaders, and even a temporary pause in some PhD programs is a huge loss. Has anyone heard any updates on publicly-funded fellowships like NSF GRFP?
