I've discovered anything is possible. Wife, mum, carer, charity worker and in my free time some sewing and photography.

Read Sam's blog where he shares what worked for him whilst claiming asylum: buff.ly/tozVLpf Like many other people seeking asylum Sam found the process of claiming asylum and waiting for decisions difficult and emotionally intense. This is his advice for other LGBTQI+ people seeking asylum. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Photo of a crowd of smiling queer people, including Sam. Text reads: “Don’t give up. Keep going. Everything takes time. Take it step by step.”

Sucks that all the tree protesters in the 80s and 90s spent all that time chained to trees and burrowing underground when they could just have said their favourite womble was buried there.

And they will keep pushing the use of them. Yet we have puberty blockers banned for trans kids on ‘safety’ grounds when there has never been a negative consequence of taking them. Just the negative consequences of not being able to access them.

A screenshot of a news headline from The Times saying “More than 100 deaths after Mounjaro or Wegovy use reported”.

Yvette Cooper confirming that NHS guidance is coming forth shortly banning trans people from single sex wards. She waffles about ‘alternative provision’ but let’s be realistic here, this will massively massively disadvantage trans people’s care. Fuck Andy Burnham

1/ Synopis of EHRC CoP EHRC takes 2 pages & submits to SC that yes, A GRC *legally* changes sex for EA2010... but we don't *like* that it does and here are 18 pages why we think it should not SC: Actually we disagree with you on the law, but we will also write 100 pages on why we agree with you...

I see Yvette Cooper has been on Times radio announcing that trans people must be humiliated on single sex wards because "it's the law" Is it bollocks; the government could change the law in a couple of months She actually means "It's the cruelty, the right-wing love it"

I've heard that the GC event in Belfast encouraged people to join trans supportive groups in order to change 'hearts and minds' from within. Organisations need to take note that this is most certainly a problem and it needs nipped in the bud.

Pubic Service Announcement The Vagina Museum is trans inclusive. Always has been, always will be. Today the new EHRC Code of Practice comes into effect. Let us be clear, the guidance changes nothing about how we operate.

Do try to remember that the EHRC guidance only affects service providers and not employment, so if you work somewhere where there are toilets or changing rooms for employees that aren’t open to the public then your employers are wrong if they try to stop you from using facilities for your gender

You’ve already broken one code just by being true to you, my loves. Don’t let another code stop you. Pee where you belong, live as you know you should, and don’t let a stinking pile of terfs stop you, ever. Fuck the EHRC!

The unworkable EHRC Code comes into effect today - A reminder to all my lovely trans+ fam… It’s designed for organisations, not you! It does NOT make it a criminal offence for you to carry on using whichever loo best suits you/ your needs. If someone complains, that’s the orgs problem, not yours!

CARRY ON
AND
KEEP
PEEING

Segregation is discrimination. I will not comply with my segregation. The new EHRC guidance might come into force today but I will not change how I interact with society. Solidarity with all my trans and non-binary siblings.

A message to trans + people in the UK. Carry on using the facilities you feel most comfortable in from tomorrow. Your comfort matters. Your right to exist in public life matters. The guidance is completely unworkable and it will fail!!
