I love this essay. I feel like the tendency to throw away the whole unpleasant person started with Tumblr, and has unfortunately only gotten worse since Covid. Communities are messy, sometimes awkward things, but that's the joy of them - we take care of each other, even the Eeyores and Grouches.

A Restless Truth by Freya Marske is great! A magical mystery on a ship? So good! In general, I love The Last Binding series. This is the middle book and it’s wonderful!

The world building in this book is *so cool* but the relationship between the leads is what really made me fall in love with it! The sequel also rules!
