Alan Milburn is introduced as a former health secretary who's done a lot of work on social mobility Milburn was a pro outsourcing health secretary who went on to make a fortune advising private companies profiting from his health 'reforms'. I wonder why Ridge didnt mention any of that?

Alan Milburn is on #bbclaurak today As Solomon Hughes wrote in this article on Milburn from 2022: "Almost 2 decades ago he was the pro PFI health secretary, now he & his family trouser millions from his consultancy work for private healthcare interests" morningstaronline.co.uk/article/f/al...

Democrats get a gerrymander in Virginia approved by a referendum, and it falls. Republicans in other states manage to gut the Voting Rights Act to enact partisan gerrymanders with no signoff from voters, and they stand. The game really does feel rigged, doesn't it?

BREAKING: In a loss for Democrats, the Virginia Supreme Court ruled the congressional map voters approved last month to counter GOP gerrymanders cannot go into effect. The decision overturns the will of voters for technical reasons and gives Republicans a leg up for the 2026 midterms.

Funny, warm talk from Tessa Quinn on delivering the Ukrainian resettlement scheme. So much to learn. The importance of agile actionable user research. It’s not so much about making the right decision - as about avoiding the wrong one. Those are different things. #CampDigital

Powerful keynote from Himal Mandala on the parallels between personal burn out and organisations that require heroics from individuals in order to simply cope. Slack in the system is necessary for organisations and humans - it’s the space to sense risk and set boundaries 🙌 #CampDigital

I can’t believe we’re a couple of days away from running After Section 28, a sold out conference in Cambridge. It’s a culmination of making a film about Section 28 that banned the promotion of homosexuality by local authorities.

A poster showing titles of the talks on at After Section 28.
