At a theater job, the lead actor received a better offer two days before rehearsals started. Today on Reddit, someone wanted to learn about our same sex marriage rites, because their partner is Episcopalian. OP seems pretty unfamiliar with church stuff (which is fine and normal!) They did a completely sane and reasonable thing, which is to look at the BCP. (1/)

At this point (=at my age), I’ve begun to see the wisdom of arranged marriages. Just set up a meeting with both families over dinner, give the couple 15 minutes alone to decide, make the announcement, then formalise arrangements. I get a husband, a dowry, and I don’t have to whine about it anymore.

It's called the "principle of solidarity". While my input today might not be needed to help me right now, it guarantees that I will get help when I need it. Meanwhile it helps those who put in as well and actually are in need of help. Woke stuff since 1883 here in Germany. Best way to do it.

Okay so here's the thing. I'm preaching on "Come O Thou Traveller Unknown" and verse 12 cribs DIRECTLY from "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing" which is lowkey blowing my MIND?? Also in general the punctuation for Hark makes a HUGE different poetically, not to mention all the verses we don't sing...
