I'm looking for my next thing, and I need to move fast. I have several years of experience in developer relations from startups to the enterprise, and I'm particularly skilled at distilling complex topics into something easily understood by newbies and non-technical folks alike, on stage or off. 1/3

Jumping on the bandwagon by calling out my 5 star reads of 2024. It was not the best reading year for me, I'll admit. I DNF'd probably around 15 books, finished 45, and was pretty disappointed in a large majority of those. But here are some I loved!

Call for Papers: Vagantes 2025 at Duke University. Submit: The 24th Annual Vagantes Conference on Medieval Studies invites abstracts from current PhD students and recently graduated MA students for papers relating to the long Middle Ages and its study. We welcome submissions for 20-minute conference papers from across the disciplines alongside multimedia presentations and interdisciplinary scholarship. Open call: Additionally, in honor of the MAA's Centennial, we are soliciting applicants for a roundtable entitled: "Reflections After the Centennial: Creating Futures in Medieval Studies." Abstract submissions may range from research advice for independent scholars, medieval gaming, visions of a capacious medieval studies, and pedagogy outside the academy. Please specify "Open Call" in the email subject and abstract title. All Submissions should consist of a paper title, a 300 word abstract, and a 1-page CV including applicant's name and pronouns.
