Mamdani has announced that NYC restaurants can have outdoor dining all year round. This is actually a big public health win because fall and winter is when respiratory virus cases surge. Dining outdoors helps reduce the risk of disease spread.

I think the problem is that Trump can execute a plan like this, lose in court months later, then still point to the skewed election results and claim Republicans won.

This is pretty fucking wild. I had assumed in a worst case scenario he would target blue zip codes and toss ballots based on technicalities but this is even worse than I imagined.

“Woke 1” is simple to understand. It refers to a time when the US had made significant progress in civil rights, before Trump took charge and reinstated white supremacism as the core principle of the federal government.

We are a broken nation. Hundreds of thousands of Haitians were living and working legally, paying taxes, and contributing. Haiti remains wholly unsafe. But Trump hates Haitians, and the White House wanted videos of Black people in chains, so they stripped them of status and turned on the cameras.
The fact that Biden and the Democrats didn't arrest him will be a stain on this country forever. Imagine if Democrats tried to do the same thing to right wing organizations? We are lost.

The argument that Donald Trump invaded Canada today is much more compelling than many realize. The border between Canada and the United States runs through the middle of Lake Ontario. By claiming to have the power to rename the entire lake, Trump is claiming the lake. That's invasion by declaration.
