That said, I don't think we should abandon public-funded zero cost healthcare, but I do think that any such system should be decentralized and state-level administered without handing the government power over the tools it needs to just shut everything off with a simple mandate for trans people.
To be honest, I've struggled with this. I do not like the govt having a single lever by which they can turn off all HRT in the US. The current system in the US disperses the levers into a LOT of different places, which is why it's been almost impossible for Trump to eliminate it entirely.

Okay I am not one to praise an airline but I literally through checked a bag from one of the most remote reaches of the country, had a three hour layover which had other flights to seattle that flew out in that window, and yet my luggage arrived on time.
