Such warmth, such light, such love, and so much fear. #StillWithHer and her too. 🟦 💛 🐝 ⚖️ 💛 🟦

Very cute that leftists actually think "Withholding an endorsement when I lose because I'm just so mad and also afraid my supporters will stop giving me money if I'm seen as selling out" is a universal problem

Worth noting that in 2018, Lauren Underwood and Haley Stevens each flipped a red House seat to blue and have held that seat ever since. The test of a party is the ability to win on the other party's turf. For all the talk of DSA ascendancy, they've not once flipped a seat.

Imma just say it. At 85%, White Kids who came from a place of privilege running the DSAs after they helped benefit from gentrified communities, have no survival instincts. That's why they are scared to challenge Red Districts. They are scared to face their parents.

I judge candidates by many different & varied metrics, including policies, history, accomplishments, community connections (especially minority communities), etc. But I also judge them by their followers. Terrible people tend to support terrible people. And El-Sayed's supporters are fucking awful.

Quite an upset in the #KSGov Dem primary. State Sen. Cindy Holscher, who came out against data centers and the Kansas City Chiefs stadium deal, has defeated state Sen. Ethan Corson, who had a big financial edge and an endorsement from term-limited Gov. Laura Kelly.

🚨BREAKING: Nearly a year after voting advocates launched a campaign to prevent a GOP gerrymander from taking effect in Missouri, Secretary of State Denny Hoskins officially blocked the citizen-initiated referendum on the new map from appearing on the ballot. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

Missouri blocks anti-gerrymander referendum from November ballot in attempt to silence voters

Voter advocates are expected to immediately challenge the move and ask the courts to ensure that Missouri voters have the final say on the map.

Well, this is absolutely bone chilling and not remotely surprising. it's the shit DHS has always been doing since it began 25 years ago but now at the current level of technological possibility x fascist permissions. (The Deep State? It's not The Jews™️, guys.)

Very heartening news out of Missouri and Kansas. I know all of us here are by definition Terminally Online, but it gives me a lot of hope for the future of our country that folks are rejecting blatant authoritarianism and crony corporatism more and more.

Republican power grabs in Kansas and Missouri are going down in flames with 18-25% of votes reported so far. Missouri's Amendment 4 aimed to make citizen-initiated constitutional amendments practically impossible. Kansas' Amendment 1 was designed to flip the state Supreme Court to ban abortion

Former Rep. Elaine Luria of Virginia won a chance tonight for a rematch with GOP Rep. Jennifer Kiggans, who beat her in 2022 after she served on the January 6th Committee. My dear late friend @mrwaltershapiro.bsky.social called her the bravest Democrat in Congress. newrepublic.com/article/1695...

Bravest Democrat of the Year: Elaine Luria

The Virginian represented one of the swingiest House seats in the country but still staked her reelection on defending democracy and investigating what actually happened on January 6.

WE NEED 4 SEATS TO FLIP THE SENATE. JOSH TUREK SHOULD BE ONE OF THEM. I was researching Josh and came across one of his signature issues: Right to Repair. I had no idea how important this was. Most people in big cities probably don’t either. 🧵

This is why you never ever ever ever trust AOC She is 1. a flip flopper 2. A weather vane 3. An opportunist Egocentric and narcissistic and manipulative as fuck She is trying to rewrite a revisionist history
