All the big money freaks obtain big money just to "live" forever. Their goal is to be embedded in history no matter the cost, even if it's their own humanity. Musk, Rowling, Bezos, Trump-all want immortality. Literal and figurative. If they can't live forever, they make it the world's problem.

Rowling will one day die. Hopefully alone, her children refusing to visit. I hope it's agonizing and lonely and that when she finally gasps her last breath and the light fades from her eyes she realizes that trans people will still be here, despite her bigotry.
