I think a lot about how trauma interacts with politics I do think the burn-it-all-down posture is just foreshortened future lensed into a political identity at least, it certainly was for me. I found that feature of my thinking incompatible with imagining a long term political project

I'm not in general a Marxist, but in this case vulgar, orthodox Marxism is completely true. We have invented a new and more dangerous type of fixed capital and the ownership of that fixed capital is a crucial issue, possibly history-defining, and how you handle the issue is critical

this was early enough that it was very insightful and is now sort of transparently true if you think the gizmo isn't useful you're ignoring most major software project and all computer security professionals, you basically have to spit on expertise as a concept
