Mezzo-about-town. Singer, actor, Shakespearean text coach, will translate your opera libretti and song texts. She/they.

they always show their asses eventually because the thing is that you cannot truly, sincerely care about women if you don’t care about trans women. the minute you carve off any one subcategory of women you claim are “lesser” in some way, you’ve declared women’s rights to be conditional by definition

It’s notable how many anti-trans activists who claim their actions are motivated by a desire to “protect women,” are currently attacking Jane Doe and defending the men who she says assaulted her. It’s almost like “protecting women” never had anything to do with it.

bro are you okay? the shot just lingered on your face for a few seconds while you were looking at your loved ones. no bro there was like, a mournful string orchestration of your leitmotif playing. bro?

I used to feel like half my time as an orchestra musician was spent patiently explaining, over and over, that no, orchestras have never in history paid for themselves through ticket sales; no, cutting concerts or auxiliary trumpets won't balance the books; YOU JUST HAVE TO RAISE THE MONEY.

Croydonites: tonight’s Britten War Requiem at Fairfield Halls is going to be quite a good one. Properly massive choir and orchestra. All 3 soloists are fantastic, really fine singers who do more than justice to both Britten’s music and Owen’s poetry. www.fairfield.co.uk/events/regen...

Obsessed with chronicles. In 1563 Stowe thought it worth recording that the Mayor of London Sir Thomas Lodge was the first Mayor ever to wear a beard, 'ye whiche was thowght to mayny people very straynge'.

The Epstein emails show he literally advised *all* these freaks, over decades, up til his death, on how to use transphobia as a wedge to make their expected victims more vulnerable Dems could have just not accepted Epstein's framing of trans rights as an essential part of being viewed as electable

Trans people have been saying this for YEARS. But, oh no, it’s not until they discover that punching down and beating trans people to a pulp is not having the desired effect and, if anything, it’s leading to things that could affect them and their loved ones. Honestly, this makes me want to scream
