repeating myself a bit here but trump can issue an executive order but that doesn’t necessarily mean shit if it doesn’t have a firm statutory basis. if congress lays out in law what the duties of a particular official are, then no, the president can’t decide those duties are something else

Stopping government from doing things in our system is much easier than making it do things you want, even things like banning a vaccine.
Two possibilities: 1. The entire American public has been dramatically transformed such that this kind of previously inconceivable insanity has become mundane 2. A media ecosystem that once would have treated this as disqualifying and impeachable has decided to never react to anything ever again
Why did their state pick United Health to cover their Medicaid plan? While Universal care sounds good. The reality is that our gov approve the Medicare Advantage plans offered by the BUCAs. Maybe we need to change what we expect and what we need from gov chosen plans first ?

People aren't forming their political views by conducting some check against core values or policy beliefs, they're forming them by situating themselves in a perceived social universe. People mostly just want to be on the right side and they're using social cues to figure out which side that is
