I don't really have an objection to the CEO saying Bluesky is open to all; it's kind of his job to do that. But as others have pointed out, the design of the site means it's harder for trolls/bots/chuds *and also* influencers/hypebeasts to get traction. The "bubble" here is actually normal humans.

Israel’s Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar to Channel 14: “People say Israel is isolated internationally. That’s ridiculous. “So many countries are coming to us and telling us they want stronger relations. “Just this week, the Foreign Minister of Congo was here.”

In fact "top 5" undersells it -- Labour seen as most capable to handle 16 of the top 20. TThe Greens get two. Te Pati Māori gets one. National gets two, including one tie with Labour (Repost because I linked to the wrong Ipsos release, this one isn't up yet) www.rnz.co.nz/news/politic...

This grab from the Ipsos Issues Monitor shows the leading issues for respondents, and the party best suited to manage them. Impossible to transcribe.

The Ipsos report is not up yet but when it is posted, it will be here https://www.ipsos.com/en-nz/topic/issues-monitor

NZ has - almost uniquely amongst our peers - tanked its economy and pushed 10,000s onto the dole (and offshore). We were told that this strategy would 'get interest rates down, tame inflation, and drive growth 🎉'. Yet, here we are, slumped and vying to be inflation champs. What went wrong? [🧵1/n]

As many people as possible should be viewing this scathing discussion of Chris Bishop. As you know I'm not a Nat fan but Finlayson really is a decent person. I disagree with many of his stances but appreciate his decency in how he treats treaty partners. The coalition clown show has taken over!

In case this isn’t clear, all parties were working collaboratively to advance a new law on consent NOW. National withdrew from this collaboration in order to promise it would do this same thing AFTER THE ELECTION. Trying to slow down this change.

It's Obscure Political Minutiae Time with Stephanie, tonight: when the Ardern govt passed the Family Violence Act in 2018 we repeatedly / specifically gave credit to National's former Justice Minister Amy Adams for kickstarting the bill in the previous term, because they got pissy if we didn't

The members bill to make stalking a crime was literally lodged by Labour Party's Ginny Anderson in response to a murder that happened in 2022. Luxon wont tell you that though 🤷

#KyojoCup #F1Academy #F4 So race 1 of round 2 of the Kyojo Cup (all female F4 series in Japan) just finished and I am even more convinced than ever about the following two points: 1. Riona Tomishita deserves a F1A test if not serious consideration for a seat next year, she's smooth and fast.
