This fluorescence microscopy image shows the PDH-ir neuronal network in the male dragonfly Sieboldius albardae. The image reveals an impressive, dense arborization pattern in the lamina, medulla, lobula complex, and protocerebrum. The projections are depth-coded from anterior (blue) to posterior (yellow). A Drosophila brain is shown for scale. Sieboldius albardae has about 100 times larger brain than Drosophila.
