Possibly new Iberian altitude record for Limosella aquatica. Today at Embalse de Casares de Arbás, León, I found Limosella aquatica at 1,288 m, slightly above the highest Iberian record I've so far been able to trace in the literature (1,278 m at Camporredondo). It was growing extraordinarily well!
A good trap session in the NF last night with @keithgodfrey.bsky.social @mothyblackburn.bsky.social and Tom Stone. 46 species with some new moths for my Hants list. Like Tim I caught my own Eric, but also Matilella fusca, Ancylosis oblitella and Beautiful Yellow Underwing. All maybe NFM 🤷🏻♂️ #teammoth
A taste of things to come with a much cooler (and clear) night reducing the species count to around 32. A couple of good moths though in Sallow and an uncooperative Chevron nfy. A smallish plume is probably a Small Golden-rod and Epermenia chaerophyllella will be nfy once confirmed. #TeamMoth
Bit of a thigh-rubbing, garden dancing livener on this cool, very quiet mothing night! A very obliging Convolvulus Hawk-moth NFG. Never thought this day would come. Oddly enough, preferring Night-scented Stock to Nicotiana. Who cares?... 😍 #teammoth #norfolkmoths

The local Rooks weren't too happy when this Red Kite decided to hang about on a pylon along the River Trent (Trent Port, Marton, Lincs) this AM. Becoming fairly regular here now. How times have changed, recalling visiting the remote Tregaron Bog (Wales) in the 80s @lincsbirding.bsky.social
An hour at Kirkby Moor @lincswildlife.bsky.social reserve this AM produced an obliging Spotted Flycatcher plus Common and Latticed Heath #moths doing their best camouflage routines. Green Woodys, Jays and Bullfinch too. Plenty of dragons about @lincsbirding.bsky.social @savebutterflies.bsky.social
