My manifesto for Doctor Who: 1) Chat about an old story with podcasters, comedians, and fans 2) Turn that story into a gameshow 3) No, really 4) Starts Saturday 15th August
Gorgeous Mark Donaldson joins me to talk murder, mayhem, universes igniting, crystals, new companions joining and old companions leaving…
A flawed but thrilling Doctor Who novel gives me a chance to trot out the limb in a bin story for the 1000th time...
Remember when Doctor Who recast Adric with Paul Dano?
Here we go. Happy New Year from Cliff! Yes, the photo *is* that blurred and grainy; it's not my phone camera (but probably his). Loving the low-effort caption.
Got a red and blue Icee the size of my head. Let's Spider-Man!
Stuck in the house waiting on some real men to come and take my old sofa away. Feel a bit like Victor Meldrew in "The Trial." Might make myself some lunch in a minute...
Listen to me confidently and incorrectly tell 3 people who have watched the Time Meddler that the war games was the first story with another time lord in it
NEW I HATE DOCTOR WHO! The Tardis team put the newly streamlined War Games in Colour on trial. It may have changed it's appearance, but what will a new audience make of it? youtube: youtu.be/bBgOTTL2n0M?... Spotify: open.spotify.com/episode/5l4R...
"Ronald, what are you gonna do now that you've established a loving and supportive family for Captain Picard back on Earth?" "Burn two out of three of them in a big fire..." "....what?"
Today on Too Hoy For TV I am joined by @cripleh.bsky.social to look at the expanded universe of WWE/F. We look at the first WWF home video 'Bloopers, Bleeps And Bodyslams', an episode of 'Hulk Hogan's Rock 'n' Wrestling' and 2 issues of the Ultimate Warriors comic 'Warrior'. linktr.ee/Dylan_Rees
This is still so funny to me. David Tennant, in 2007: nice and encouraging to an aspiring actor on a phone-in David Fourteenant, in 2022: eat shit Nathan, I'm the Doctor
Hit "The Best of Both Worlds" on my TNG rewatch. As much as it goes on to influence Picard's Star Trek story for the next 30 odd years, it's really a corking Riker story. Struck me this time around that they should have got Frakes to do the final frontier speech over the titles of part 2.
Kirk, Spock and La'an explore a spooky starship for a trio of terror, but, er, so what?
Strange New Words #12: Spock, Spooked
On Star Trek: Strange New Worlds s04e02 - "The Griffin Incident"

Picard season 3 - a Klingon Coke machine. Unfortunately Paramount Legal department said "no"
There is literally no medical condition that contentedly uninformed journalists wont blame on chicken dippers.
“While traits of ADHD undeniably exist – the question is why they exist. Is ADHD actually a neurodevelopmental disorder? Do people with ADHD have differently wired brains? Or does our world – with…processed food, and regimented education – serve as the catalyst for certain…patterns of behaviour?”
Tonight I watched a 90 minute slide presentation at the cinema instead of going to see Spider-Man at the multiplex. Nature is healing.
I feel kinda bad for almost soiling myself laughing at this and yet, here we are.
that odyssey review was pretty funny but also kind of like if wes anderson did the iliad and someone went long on how everything looks like a diorama and the characters have a flat affect and there's a general named "Gen. Greek Tragedy" and like yes i understand that is a wes anderson movie correct
Finally finished moving our stuff into the new house today. Can't wait for the pounds to drop off
I like to think I'm middle class but then my mum calls san pellegrino "woke fanta"
There's a small group in the Venn diagram between "fans of Mad Men" and "people who are aware of John Levene's thoughts on how Tom Baker ran the rehearsal room for The Android Invasion" but this image is for all three of you.
Genuinely thought Charlie Brooker had brought back TV Go Home for a second there...
BBC has announced Race Against The Tide, a competitive sandcastle building competition hosted by Iain Stirling.
Me: Big day of unpacking and waiting in for deliveries, today. I'll catch up on all those Eccleston and Piper audios I've not listened to! Big Finish App: Not so fast, buddy...
