Yo. This is the union calling for a boycott. Here in America people like to say "Well I was already boycotting Starbucks!" No you were not. You were just choosing not to buy their stuff. That is not a boycott. A boycott is an organized, collective activity. "I" don't boycott: we do.
We have power in numbers, and we'll continue to fight for a better Starbucks. Support us by BOYCOTTING STARBUCKS until the company finalizes fair union contracts with workers! boycottstarbucks.net

So is openai not doing an ipo because cortana is going to launch a nuke or because the financial disclosures of an ipo would reveal some deeply disturbing things about their business model Who can say
Why do you appreciate unions? I’ll start: Weekends off Paid vacations Work breaks Sick leave Paid holidays No child labor Safer working conditions Health care and retirement benefits
Here’s my op-ed on Chief Justice John Roberts whitewashed history of President and Chief Justice William Howard Taft. Roberts adoration of Taft’s “restraint” conveniently omits Taft’s racism, refusal to condemn lynching, and embrace of Lost Causism. That’s no accident. share.inquirer.com/IcPlmx
Will the real William Howard Taft please stand up?
Chief Justice John Roberts penned an incomplete, but revealing, tribute to former President and Chief Justice William Howard Taft.

Incredible. When E—n M—k & his crew obliterated USAID in a weekend, they deleted a vast trove of publicly-funded knowledge: the Development Experience Clearinghouse. A Canadian high school student (!) happened to have downloaded the entire thing for a project. AidData has now posted it for all.
Before reimagining development data, remember what we’ve learned
Why we’re publishing a free, searchable, and ungated archive featuring a quarter-century of USAID evaluation reports.

What actually happened is a judge tossed his petition to be on the ballot in New York because it was obvious the address he listed in New York wasn't his real place of residence, as opposed to in California. It didn't affect his voter registration and he can still vote wherever he lives.
RFK Jr claims a judge declared he "has no legal residence" so he has "no state where I can legally vote right now"
Now's as good of a time as any to reiterate that I have never seen anyone in a mainstream newspaper or magazine write about how Mamdani, El Sayed and Hamawy are representing positive masculinity.
Don't get me wrong, I lift every morning. But being a man is not really about how you show up in the gym. It's how you show up for your family. It's about how you show up for your community.
10/ So if you're a parent wondering, "What am I supposed to do right now?" here's my answer: nothing has changed about your ability to vaccinate your child today. You can still follow the existing schedule; your doctor can still provide those vaccines, and they remain free.
You can't put enough Measles antigen alone in a vaccine to generate cellular immunity without causing massive vaccine reactions. By adding in the Mumps and Rubella antigens, you decrease the reactive amount needed to generate a positive response. The combo vaccine makes it safer. This is SO STUPID!

AOC: Millennials are not punk kids anymore. We're grown adults with mortgages and kids, and that generation is starting to be decisive at the polls. And there is anger at being ignored, having our economic futures mortgaged by the generations that came before us and we're taking the reins
Really interesting piece that starts out about that “new green” that made the rounds a while back but then goes to some fascinating places about color theory and perception largely tangential to it.
What Would It Mean to See a New Color? — The New Yorker
Olo can be described as the “greenest green,” though it can never be captured by a camera. But its development tells us a lot about our color vision.

You might get sick of hearing this but if he keeps doing it I'm gonna keep saying it: this is an unconstitutional impoundment, violating both Congress' Article I spending authority and the 1974 Impoundment Control act, and immediately impeachable.

Like the OP, same. Like the OP, I also mean it literally. Verified by… *checks notes* multiple people literally telling me that they couldn’t imagine dealing with stuff that’s happened in my life or has involved my body or has involved my mind.
I've endured things most people couldn't imagine.
Bust up big corporations and tackle Wall Street’s greed. Get big money out of politics. Strengthen unions and boost wages. Pass Medicare for all, paid leave, universal childcare, and so much more... This is the agenda Democrats need to fight for. It's not enough to simply be anti-Trump.
Co-signed. - Another immunosuppressed person
As an immunosuppressed person I’m so angry at everyone responsible for the CDC’s non-response to the Cyclospora outbreak. We have no guidelines, just news articles sharing long lists of foods to avoid because they’ve been associated with outbreaks in the past. It’d be funny if it wasn’t so stupid.
