Read another piece about comics being for ‘reluctant readers’. On a related note, it was my son’s birthday the other day. He mostly reads comics & I got him a lot. I just did a rough tally of how many pages of comics were in his presents & it’s approx 5,100 pages. But, sure, ‘reluctant readers’.

Some tips here that can and should be universally applied in all classrooms, yet I’ve seen similarly worded “tips” set out as Section F provision in EHCPs.

Very much recommend this event- I have the book and it’s wonderful. Darren and Karen are both incredibly knowledgeable about children’s books and address the issue of diversity critically and in much depth well beyond representation.
