Something that the mainstream media doesn't explain to voters is that this is by design — one of the main reasons Republicans keep the current healthcare system is because it makes workers reluctant to switch jobs or start a business, which suppresses wages and makes them easier to exploit
Andrew Dressel@adressel.bsky.social · 5d agoIt’s easily the biggest barrier to self-employment and entrepreneurship. It’s nearly impossible to have a family and self-insure. Even the crap plans have crazy premiums and god help you if actually need health care.
It’s hilarious to me that RW Cheesecake Factory psychos are deeply committed to depicting the restaurant as wholesome and elegant. But I have not seen a single one that actually defends the redecorations in the White House.
