This is not a surprise. While there are non-frivolous legal arguments for these laws, they were always going to be an uphill battle given the Supremacy Clause. So far, no state mask ban aimed at ICE has been successful. That leaves it to Congress alone to rein in the highly unpopular use of masks.

Republicans love pushing vocational-only education instead of comprehensive-education because they want a healthy supply of low-cost servants and less competition for the professional and boss jobs they want their own kids to have.

A solid strategy. It’s like buying a mystery novel: read the first few pages to see if the characters are at all sympathetic, then skip to the back to see if the ending is any good. If it is buy the novel and enjoy how things develop.
