Rereading Lord of the Rings. I had forgotten how intensely horny Gimli is for Galadriel. People can be talking about something totally mundane and unrelated, like how rocks are hard, and then he’ll suddenly monologue about how no stone in all the mountains can ever be as hard as Galadriel makes him.
But I get a little frustrated when people are like "see, this proves all the other Dems could be Just Doing Stuff" and that's not the case. For many, many other offices Doing Fucking Anything requires navigating both a ton of veto points held by special interests and farcically constrained budgets
I’m still processing that Dispatch takes place in Torrence. I live around the corner, and I’ve been here all of three years. But living near a place that gets a health bar in a video game—plus the incredible writing, acting, and directing—has made me fall head over heels for this game.
