This makes perfect sense....unlinked recommendations of businesses in AI answers (plus social posts, e.g. TikTok, IG, etc.) lead to brand searches...which gets home page traffic.

Traffic may be down, but there is an increase in high-intent homepage visitors. This may mean a net overall conversion lift for companies with >20% homepage traffic.
