I have had myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME) since 2020 and spend the majority of my time in bed, of necessity. Mostly homebound. I used to be a climate activist, but spend any available energy parenting now. FUNCAP 2.5 Toronto, Canada Autigender She/they 😷
this should set off every damn alarm bell because WHAT
The Carney government’s Major Projects Office is borrowing workers from financial institutions, energy companies and construction firms, but it won’t disclose which companies are involved or how much of the salaries those private firms are covering.
It’ll be very interesting to see if Canadians will finally turn their eyes towards Ottawa …and let’s also take note of what the Lib govt’s next moves are now that they can’t use Trump (now a very lame duck) as the reason for all that ails us
I think that so many elite institutions and people with important jobs staying on X persuaded many of them the median american voter was a greek statue avatar hailing the thousand year trumpenreich and complaining about race mixing bsky.app/profile/sara...
lmao at all the tech billionaires who saw 2024 and went "mandate???" and tied themselves and their entire fucking industries inextricably to a sinking ship
Looks like replacing a man accused of sexual assault, with a Nazi tattoo, with only four months to go worked out just fine

The situation in Mississippi is a reminder that literally every single vote can make a difference and that’s why I tell people to consider the consequences of what their individual vote can do You don’t know when your single vote may make the difference Voting is a collective effort
The slate of anti-trans ballot measures largely skating by is a gut punch, but I think this one most likely passing is the worst result for me, both because of its sheer overreach and its arrival in a supposedly safe haven for trans people.

Ok South Carolina. I’m a need yall to stay on Annie’s neck. The transphobia has GOT to be addressed
NBC projects Annie Andrews has defeated GOP Sen. Darline Graham. "This is a stunning, stunning victory for the Democrats," Kornacki says
Andrews won South Carolina. Now's the time for my trans friends in South Carolina to start knocking on her door and blowing up her phone. Her transphobia cannot stand.
Adam Hamawy, a surgeon who participated in medical missions to Gaza during the height of the genocide, won his House race in New Jersey. Hamawy’s campaign focused on ending U.S. aggression in the Middle East and a call to abolish ICE. truthout.org/articles/ada...

Would be really cool if these results mean he can’t invade any more countries, just saying.
Wait is it good news?? Are we experiencing something good????
So excited about the US elections that I almost forgot to take my evening pills.
You can hear someone singing “A Change is Gonna Come” at the Keisha Lance Bottoms victory party. What an incredible moment for Black voters, and especially Black women voters.

I shouldn’t be sitting here 2 days after getting my Covid vaccine worried that I have Covid from an unmasked, coughing pharmacist. We should be able to rely on healthcare professionals to not infect us. I don’t understand how this is a remotely political statement.
An author that I made five covers for in a series used ai to clone my style and generate a sixth cover. This is the third time this happened to me this month with long-term clients. I am sick with rage
To leftists from elsewhere, as a leftist: we have so much grief and trauma around here, and if we want to stick our I Voted stickers on a memorial, this is not the place to make a point about electoralism or the people to make it to. We go hard and we will continue to. Let us pay our respects
There is a Renee Good memorial about a mile away from Pretti’s, on the site where she was killed. It’s a few blocks’ walk from there to George Floyd Square, on the site where he was killed We’ve not only gone through a lot as a city, we’ve gone through a lot as a *neighborhood*
Probably time to get serious about putting together a 72 hour kit. If you’re good about this what types of food do you keep on hand that would be good in an emergency but would also get used regularly? I always try to keep extra cereal, crackers, peanut butter, rice, and pasta on hand. Other ideas?
Our board uses Chromebooks and my kids have said that DuckDuckGo is already blocked on their devices. We have a home computer they can use for research if necessary, it’s still awful.

I realized that while feeling bad after RENT, I interrupted my salt chocolate routine, so I hadn’t had any salt to drink for like a week or maybe more (usually have it every other day or so) and had had a lot of high potassium foods. Seem to be doing a bit better in numbers and body now.
I feel bad and my numbers (Garmin, Visible) are bad and I don’t really know why so maybe I am having a delayed October slide, I don’t know.
Or we COULD try vaccinating both boys and girls against HPV
