I came to the conclusion yesterday while watching SUGAR, a show I have been enjoying a lot, that murder is a fundamentally unserious subject for art. It's a serious thing in real life, of course, because it's consequential, but it's a deeply ridiculous thing to actually do to a person.
Update on this: I've made pretty rapid progress on this in my spare time over the last couple of days. Next post will have a screenshot with some bad art I made. The key thing is that it's already much more fun to use than any of the solutions I'd cobbled together over the last 25 years.

I'm kind of blown away by how tractable this problem seems to be with the vibiest of vibe coding. I'm sure I'll share what I make if it works.
This is maybe the right hour for me to post that the "we're all so poor and miserable of course people are voting for fascists" shit is such moral cowardice; I would have to be starving to death to consider a Trump vote and we are not generally starving to death. That's very rarely a thing here.

I just figured out how to watch train videos from YouTube in a little window while I do my work. Nothing can stop me now. (I am as far as I know neurotypical. My strong desire for train videos is the only thing that's ever made me wonder.)

The answer is quite obviously no. Is there anyplace Republicans control that hasn’t? Also obviously no.

Incredible. First Secretary Mullin claimed that DHS had identified 15,903 noncitizens on Nevada’s voter roll. Then DHS officials told a skeptical Nevada, no no no, that’s just people we flagged. Here are the names of 185 people we KNOW aren’t citizens. All 185 were citizens. DHS got 100% wrong.

There's a bit in here about how the assumption that people moving from blue districts to red ones may not actually mean you get bigger, redder districts and I have to say I have always found that assumption bewildering. I've mostly lived in red states anyway but moving wouldn't make me a Republican.

It's called film "footage" because camera operators initially held the cameras with their feet. I have a pretty intense "essential tremor" that makes drawing and painting extremely frustrating for me, which is unfortunate because I love drawing and painting—as a kid I thought that was what I would do before I got into writing. I've tried a few solutions over the years, but none quite worked.

This is true but I also think the whole prize thing is fundamentally a public negotiation about what we believe art should be, so it's inevitable that people who accurately perceive that judges are rejecting right wing white supremacy will be angry. They are getting the intended message.

This comes to mind because while I was washing my hands in the restroom just now, a guy in chunky headphones, a mask, a gray hoodie, and basketball shorts entered the restroom and loudly said to everyone (i.e., only me), "How are we doing today??"

Might have just lost someone, gotten a terrible diagnosis, met their new firstborn, etc.

Do you plan to let yourself enjoy it when we crush the midterms? If you can't get excited about Dems winning I get it, but you should let yourself feel excited about making Trump lose and making his life hell.
