At the end of the day, lawyers don't get in trouble for *using* AI. They get in trouble for *trusting* AI. But if it's not trustworthy, it's also not going to save huge time for people who use it competently for research tasks. Some around the margins, at most.
And it holds true because the key skill - evaluating cases holistically, in the context of both law and facts, is simply something that the current tech is poorly equipped to handle.
I know there are a lot of people who want to make the world better but don’t know where to start so just…don’t. I also know every group I work with that is making the world better is kept afloat by exhausted people who desperately need help. If you’re in group A, please find an org to help group B
