It's Textile Tuesday, and you know what that means: a piece by artist Faig Ahmed called "The Dragons of Karabakh" that's woven to look like an antique Central Asian carpet is melting off the wall into a puddle. More about the artist here: faigahmed.com

A red, blue, yellow and white work of textile art by Faig Ahmed that appears to be a traditional Central Asian carpet but is woven to look as through it's melting onto the floor in a puddle. Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.

Okay what I *want* to do is take a big overnight train ride to the twin cities for shits and giggles but what I’m *going* to do is figure out something else (shorter…) to plan to get the vacation planning wiggles out. Probably.

My body is achey and my brain is tired and my Talmud class is in a different location tonight and I can’t decide whether to transit (1h) or drive (30m plus finding parking). Probably I’ll drive but I don’t like it.

Me: I don’t mean to brag, but I’ve probably made every possible typo in my time, surely there is nothing my fingers could surprise me with at this point Also me: *types “cloacal office” instead of “local office”*

Having feelings also about how I dodged the late September events Jewish holidays collisions (northwest tea fest) but not the early October one (simchat Torah x octobearfest at the zoo)
