Airdrie and Calgary are taking the first steps toward exploring regional transit. As our region grows toward two million people, we need transportation that keeps up. Strong regional partnerships help people get where they need to go, whether they drive, ride transit, walk, or bike.
"Business/residential access concerns" b/c accessing downtown businesses is better w cycle lanes. Easier to park & have appts using a bike vs driving around 👀 for a parking spot. Safer to pedal when you're not being squeezed to the side by vehicle drivers. Stupid to pay tax$ to demolish lanes.
Another UCP survey to manufacture consent, this time to remove bike lanes. I tried completing the survey to say we need MORE bike lanes, but I couldn't complete it without choosing a complaint from a drop down list. UCP wants to make everyone drive a car everywhere.
