just because you make a game look overly detailed for a reason does not mean that making it look overly detailed is good like yeah cool they're supposedly going for a specific art style (I have seen about 5 different things confidently claimed to be the look they're evoking), it's still ugly.

FWIW I think that everything else about it looks fine. Other than the awful BotW inventory UI. If you love OoT you'll probably like the remake. Other than that inventory. the inventory is really bad, probably actually worse than the graphics

I was thinking about it and actually the VII remake (And really Final Fantasy as a whole since like X) shows how to do what the OoT remake is trying to do, but better. Because SE decided to lean in on high detail graphics, they toned down some aspects of stylization.

Shit man the FFVII remake has some really stupid shit and even more stupid shit coming but I have loved them all so far and will love the new one. VII isn't even particularly high up for Final Fantasy for me, I just love Final Fantasy that much that even one that's mid for the series really clicks.

"It doesn't matter what you think about how it looks, the OoT remake will be a hit" i mean yeah I know that. It's Nintendo and it's Zelda. They regularly get glazed for dogs hit. And like, I never got into it but OoT is a big deal for a lot of folks and I can at least see what they like about it.
