Yeah, we saw this a bit with John Cho as Spike Spiegel there's a lot else wrong with the live-action Cowboy Bebop. John Cho is an amazing actor and I wish the world was better, and ready for a hot male lead earlier. but: Cho was ~48 when he did it, and Spike is not a 48 year-old man

I actually feel deep despair watching people launch and maintain Substacks, or continue to actively use Twitter. If you're not willing to give up even an ounce of personal gain or convenience in the face of literal Nazis, I don't trust you to do jack shit to make the world better.

The other thing I often think that is too many thoughts deep for the chuds is that sports are made-up, and *designed* around male physiology If we had centuries of history with sports where flexibility was a major advantage (like height in basketball), game over. Or idk, longevity

there are definitely downsides to the nuclear block but the reason I keep coming back to it as necessary and good is that it completely ruined the whole MAGA engagement model to the point that they prefer to mock us from the nazi bar rather than come here to troll us directly

Kirk Rudell@rudell.bsky.social · 3d agoShouldn’t be shocked at any lie RFK Jr tells, but he whined to Dana Bash that businesses were shut down during the pandemic “with no just compensation.” There was an almost trillion dollar PPP loan program, and his organization got millions from it, none of it paid back, to make payroll.
This guy was put in my feed to dunk on him, and while I might phrase some of it differently (I will NEVER let private equity or MBA-brained consultants off the hook), I think he is spitting some facts
Max Dubler 🏳️🌈@maxdubler.com · 3d agoI think my most genuinely unpopular take is that a widely held and genuine consumer preference for cheaper, lower-quality goods, not private equity, is driving the decline in quality of consumer goods like clothing and housewares.
The "electability" argument in a party primary, especially one rooted in hypothetical head-to-head general election match ups have never worked and are often flat-out wrong. At this point, they just scream desperation.
current feelings around AI: the CEOs shoveling slop into everything should be in jail but the guys spending upwards of $60,000 on elaborate, janky home rigs to run local models for no reason other than to see if it works are engaging in a long and semi-honorable tradition of computer toucher shit
Using lists of three is not an "AI tell." It's a common trait in human writing because our brains biologically want to make sure there's always one thing to marry, one thing to fuck, and one thing to murder.

AI continues to burn down everything it was trained on, as it did with people handling questions on stack overflow or writing tutorials. it's not just stealing everything ever to resell, it's permanently messing up ways people did things without it. won't have enough updated info to steal in 5 years
