Been listening to a series of videos summarizing the lore of Destiny while I deal with post-vacation chores and prepping for the new assignment next week. Never played Destiny, but it sounds like it was a good time while it was going. I should be getting a crash course on FF14 for other reasons.

The list I have to hunt down and (mostly) eliminate during revisions and edits: a bit a little actually finally just They're basically verbal ticks that translated into my writing and dialogue. God they are draining to remove... #writingA

What’s a word or phrase you overuse when writing? “That” is a big one for me, though I’m getting better at avoiding it #writingq #WritingCommunity #writers

So many fun looking daily prompt games this month, and my work situation means I don't know if I could keep up with them... 😔 I'm at least hoping the new assignment has enough flexibility early in the morning to able to do the crossword puzzle again. It was a nice mental warm-up and I missed it.

#SundaySnips From a cruise gone horribly wrong. A bunch of mercenaries were sent to find out what happened. They're investigating the captain's quarters. Bloody footprints on a red carpet would be hard for most to see, but one guy's implants basically give him Detective Vision from the Batman games.

(...)The outline of a footprint in the flooring, imperceptible to those without the means to see the slightest changes in the layout of the carpet. He looked down the hallway, seeing a few more heading away. “He stepped in the pools of blood. Blends in with the carpet.” He said, eyes darting around the scene. “Few signs of struggle in the room itself. Nearly all the debris is on the outside.” The others had stopped their own investigation, letting him piece it together. “They damaged the door. Tried to break in. Security came and quelled the mutiny. Once he thought the coast was clear, he ran from his room. Somewhere where he could better defend himself.”
