Wish I could share an example of an AI-generated paper we receive all the time because they are *weird*. Mechanical manucripts that tick the boxes as academic content but really contribute nothing to knowledge. If AI has benefits for research, we're not seeing it. Just seeing shoddy autoscholarship.
The anatomy of an AI-supported academic article is becoming more apparent. I desk reviewed ~70 manuscripts this week for our journal. Reckon 20ish had significant AI assistance. On top of hundreds of others recently I'm starting to see patterns. Are other editors are seeing the same or similar? 1/

There's one man who tried to commit election fraud in the State of Georgia in that 2020 election, and it was Donald Trump.
Nobody disputes that having access to a car in a car-dominated society is good. It gives one access to jobs, healthcare, food, education, social opportunities and more. All we're asking is for people to go one step deeper and ask why access to such basic rights requires buying and operating a car.

Last week I shared my fact checking process on IG and TikTok. I got comments from folks letting me know that ChatGPT could help make the process faster. I explained: (1) my book contract prohibits the use of LLMs and (2) I’m morally opposed to the use of LLMs. Or as I call them, plagiarism bots.

I’m mad about today. I’m mad that justices can’t do the bare minimum to uphold the Constitution. I’m mad that the law and our history, which I have dedicated so much of my life to, is an inconvenience than an inheritance to many. I’m mad that the academy, which I love, rewards and enables it.
Trans women are women. Trans men are men. Non binary people are non binary. Everyone has the right to be themselves. Everyone deserves a political and judicial system that respects and protects these rights. We need to make that happen.
