Sad to learn that Maida Vale studios closes its door as a BBC site today. I was very fortunate to see Mercury Rev play a set there as part of the BBC 6 Music festival a few years back. At least its legacy as a music studio will continue, but an important slice of British musical history just ended.

I realize I probably come across as an "angry cyclist" a lot on here but then I remember that 7 cyclists have been killed in my state since early June and I have my life threatened on a nearly daily basis and then I don't feel so bad about being a jerk sometimes

Nor can the interests of households, communities and the environment become surordinate to investor returns. Britain cannot mortgage its future for financial gain. The public.'s position is clear.
