I love that the reasoning for this was that when dudes at HB rewatched the OG series. They remembered it being so much cooler and then just decided to make it real.
litterly such an aura boost though its kinda insane
I saw very few USA 250 toys at stores. These Merikah Furby toys are a Walmart exclusive, but these were at a local thrift store today.
I assure you the scratch marks will only be on the inside of that wall.
Tuberville: "If we don't straighten out this country's voting and immigration system, we're not gonna make it. It's gonna be over. I'm gonna go back to Alabama and hey, we might build a 30-foot wall around our state."
people who aren't cokeheads and haven't ever done a bump, I have one question: if cocaine disappeared tomorrow, could you still get through an entire workday without meth, ketamine, benzos, or any other techbro performance tool? imagine it was suddenly illegal. would you be willing to give it up?
Guys like this don’t realize that they are the freak
Days after letting a contract expire with a network of 100 legal groups for child immigrant law services, the Trump Admin is awarding a $150 million contract to a Houston law firm that was co-founded by two Trump appointees.

100% of every public figure is due to someone realizing their time in the spotlight is almost up and they’re desperate for that to continue, and they realize the conservative ecosystem will turn you into a media figure if you promise to endanger as many trans people as possible
on Sophie Cunningham and a trans controversy that doesn't involve any actual trans people: defector.com/the-right-ha...

thread on the New York Times association with Jeffrey Epstein (allegedly etc etc) why does @Kenjennings.bsky.social support such a vicious rightwing publication?
David Brooks is now the third alleged Jeffery Epstein associate at the New York Times. This potentially includes A.G. Sulzberger, the current chairman of the NYT board. The NYT published this piece by David Brooks about Epstein less than a month ago. Why did their executive leadership allow this?
"Musk's first extraterrestrial landing will be a complete accident" is a fun thought, especially given how long the odds are:
i'm under the impression that the spacex chunk hitting the moon is accidental which, if true, is a genuinely impressive failure in as in the context of how large space is, statistically, the moon arguably does not exist
"As of Tuesday, none of the [8] stolen cameras have been found." 😃🌟🎉
Every Flock camera in Winona has been cut down and stolen
The cost to replace each camera and pole is approximately $3,000.

There is no ethical consumption of Harry Potter. And not in the usual "no ethical consumption under capitalism" way. In the "your fandom is now comprised of hate symbols" way.
JKR explicitly said she considers anything Potter-related, even fan-made, endorsement of her politics. And every time you engage with this franchise, you signal to the industry that there's still money in it and they should keep pumping out content from full-cast audiobooks to book box partnerships.

“Nuh uh Walter’s a super genius.” He would have failed the moment Colombo strolled up in his beat up Peugeot and asked him for a pen to write notes down on Burger King napkins.
I’m just saying, Angela Lansbury would have found out Walter White in the first season. Walter White wouldn’t have lasted an entire Colombo episode.
Yep. Earlier this year I was interviewed by Sharyn Alfonsi of 60 Minutes about my Epstein investigation. Subsequently, CBS pulled the segment and fired the reporter. The MAGA buyout of media is aiding the Trump administration’s Epstein cover up.
Banks permitted millions in suspicious transactions tied to Epstein—and former 60 Minutes correspondent Sharyn Alfonsi had the story months ago. But the report would never air. trib.al/ZShZlIS
In other Michigan news, the state looks set to elect it's first transgender lawmaker. Joanna Whaley won her Democratic primary and will compete in November for a state house seat, beating a primary opponent who tried and failed to disqualify her for not running under her deadname

JD Vance: "We don't want the next administration, whoever -- god forbid you're gonna have President El-Sayed in three years ... "
yup. unrestricted internet access is what allowed me to learn who i am, while being stuck in an environment that was extremely hostile to the idea. its also what made me who i am, in a way, and i don’t have a single regret about it either. it’s what saved me from becoming a bigoted idiot, really.
this isn't very popular to say, but for me personally, it was good that i had unrestricted internet access when i was a minor. i was aware of what i was doing and enjoyed it. i don't look back on it and go "well that was a mistake", i look back on it and wish i could do it for the first time again
"The hypothetical trans girl [...] is the perfect tool for the conservative movement. She can't fight back, can't disprove anyone's assumptions, and can't garner sympathy when she's the target of hate. The perfect trans girl is the one who only exists in the imagination of the loudest cis people."
If your winning issue is trans women in sports, and you're struggling to uncover trans women in any league that anybody has ever heard of, then how do you keep trans athletes at the top of people's minds? Answer: You invent them. defector.com/the-right-ha...
It looks like we are back in action, just got a email reinstating the site 😁 Thank You for all the kind words and offers to help it was greatly appreciated 🥰 So everyone, I can now welcome you back to TFRaw.com
wait are they defining "winning" as "nobody disagreeing with you or saying anything mean about you"
Aaron Rodgers spoke out about Dr. Anthony Fauci. Sophie Cunningham spoke out about transgender athletes. Caitlin Clark chose not to weigh in. Three different approaches, one common result: criticism. Steve Buckley on how athletes can't win on social media: nyti.ms/3Sa9A7D
If a Transformers cosplay wrestling event ever happened, I’d be thrilled to take part.
So @commandersterling.bsky.social you are probably aware of the transformers convention @tfnationltd.bsky.social that is in Birmingham each year. There would be an incredible opportunity for a wrestling cosplay crossover at next year's event. It's a wonderfully LGBTQ positive event and crowd.
I apologize in advance for this betrayal most foul: an actual bad game on TurboGrafx-16. I guess I can kind of see how you could have a good time with Moto Roader, but it involves a TurboTap and four other people who are either very drunk or have very low standards youtu.be/UB4oCN6ki0o

Texas isn't a red state. It's a state held hostage by gerrymandering and voter suppression. Hell, earlier this week they announced they're shutting down half the voting centers in Tarrant County (that's Fort Worth, 2.2 million people) and kicked everyone out of the hearing who wanted to comment.
This is a sentimental essay about politics, which I know isn't the fashion, and yet the editors at @newrepublic.com let me write something personal about the Lone Star State. Link in the replies.
