Don't try and ask why some people are allowed to be horrible, racist, cruel and hateful towards minorities, and still get "yeah but he was a bloody good bloke" from the dinner party lads. Don't go looking for some secret reason. They just think they should be allowed to do it.
If I'd been a friend of Liddle's I'd probably be asking myself why I was friends with someone who was clearly a cunt, rather than having a go at people on here for merely pointing out he was a cunt, and being dead doesn't change that.

Have to say, I really, really don't like that we seem to have settled on a policy of publicly announcing people's race so the public knows how to respond to the crime they're accused of.
Deeply saddened to learn of the loss of my dear friend Satan, the Prince of Lies. Though we often disagreed about matters such as the appropriate role of torture in the afterlife, I will most remember how his quick wit and affable nature made our weekly golf outings a ritual. He will be missed.
I actually don't think it's great for a democracy if someone is allowed to get away with incitement to racial violence, protected and boosted by the media, for over two decades, until they decide they're sick of him and root out one of the scandals they've had in a desk drawer.
When something is so obviously a terrible idea, it is ok to just...say no thanks and ban it. We don't have to wait 15 years and then slowly ban if after a whole bunch of irreperable damage has been done to individuals and society.
