Like, I genuinely feel like I’m going mad. Brianna Ghey wasn’t killed by social media. She was saved by social media, where she was able to find community with other young trans people. She was able to make online friends with people like herself. It was those offline who murdered her.
At this point, I genuinely believe the entire public is being actively gaslit by both the media, and Esther Ghey herself, into forgetting that Brianna Ghey was murdered, by people she knew from school, in real life, who were partly influenced by transphobia, fuelled by the media and politicians.
By far the biggest problem with delegating judgement to machines is the people who own the machines can tune them towards outcomes they prefer but those who don't own anything can't. It's not the technology. It's a transfer of decision making power from rational accountable systems to capital.

dear god just saw how an it looks when someone's hit with the account wide adult content warning and it's fucking MISERABLE blurred icon, blurred banner, every single post is hidden, even text posts, and posts that have images require you to hit unhide TWICE for the text and image, fucking nightmare
If you have nsfw set to "hide" I implore you to set it to "warn". You still won't see anything except for a blurred post Otherwise once they roll out account-wide adult content labeling a whole lot of people including me are going to disappear from your timelines, even our sfw text posts
Bsky is apparently gonna start flagging whole accounts as nsfw soon so if you don't already know about your moderation settings, highly suggest switching nsfw from Hide to Warn; otherwise many creators will completely vanish from your timeline when they roll this out.
My wife had to report to a Sarina Russo office many years ago. She was offered and accepted a job from a friend, nothing to do with Russo. She told them that they were no longer required and was asked to sign a form to say they got her the job so they could claim payment. They're all shysters.

She could tell us absolutely nothing about how any of this will work or if there will be job search quotas or what they'll look like, as there's no plan.
It is not a "major overhaul" if you keep the mutual obligations system in place. That's punishment as usual. And it's punishment that's been found to be unlawful - which this puff piece completely omits

we're good at being animals who live in the world, and so we don't pay that much attention to it. we're worse at language. and much much worse at logic. so we pay attention to those things and we think of them as what intelligence is. we've solved chess, we're still working on "loading a dishwasher"

Quite often they haven't! A lot of sports have only been segregated relatively recently (like since the 80s or 90s) and they often brought in segregation after women beat men in mixed events
