Finally Out of the Basket

I'd point out too that a) every dollar spent on food and medicine is a dollar not being spent on coups and black sites and b) running food and medicine delivery programs attracts people to federal careers who want to run programs like that rather than people who want to run black sites

Also, the deaths, disablements, and trauma from destroying USAID are only just beginning to unfold and will keep getting worse and worse, because there is no replacement for the funding and infrastructure that was suddenly taken away by Musk and Trump.

Hey, critters. The media's interested in furries again. As someone who's been in the fandom for well over two decades and has worked as a journalist, here's a quick guide to Dealing With The Press: If a journalist approaches you, SHUT THE FUCK UP SHUT THE FUCK UP SHUT THE FUCK UP SHUT THE FUC

Funny thing is, JD Vance already kinda was an op. A few technofascist billionaires—especially one—used money in a many-candidate primary to get him nominated, partisanship carried him to the Senate, then they got him on the ticket as VP. But in the op’s vision they don’t have to face voters again.

"Do you think we're fucking stupid?" Allies of JD Vance say an "op" is underway to sabotage his 2028 prospects. www.thebulwark.com/p/gop-plot-t...

What an unimaginably ghoulish outlook. In a rational world, this would be disqualifying. "Darline Graham’s vision, it seems, holds that because her own parents worked so hard, couldn’t take sick days, and died untimely deaths, others shouldn’t expect anything different."

Greg Sargent@gregsargent.bsky.social · 5d ago

Darline Graham said that because her own parents died when she was a kid, people today shouldn't expect "government health care." So I dug up the real story of the death of Darline/Lindsey's parents. It makes a strong case FOR government health care. 1/ (new piece) newrepublic.com/article/2148...

There's a reason that the UK inquiry into child sex abuse in institutions didn't cover NI and we got our own, without the power to compel witnesses. That reason is the UK government being complicit in decades of sexual abuse against boys and girls in Northern Ireland (and the south).

The Trump regime's HHS and Office of Population Affairs have released another anti-trans report claiming that trans people are violent, authoritarian, anti-democratic, and extremist. This is a massive escalation in state propaganda and nothing but a pretense for horrors to come.

New Research on Gender Ideology and Left-Wing Authoritarianism
Where the Clinic Meets the Movement: Does Gender Ideology Arm Left-Wing Authoritarian Psychology? is a report by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services examining the psychology behind strong support for radical gender ideology and left-wing authoritarianism.

I wrote this in 2023, but it’s just as accurate today, maybe even more so. This crowd isn’t hard to understand once you accept that they really do believe their own bullshit, even though to someone more connected to factual reality it sounds insane.

The New Right's Theory of Power is Insane

It is simply not true that radical leftists took over all major institutions and use them to crush the right, and mainstream figures should stop being afraid to say so

Tech execs and VCs didn’t think Trump would be in power forever. Yes, they thought longer-term. It’s just that they believed most agree with them except radical leftists had taken over everything, and/or the state system would break and it’d be crypto AI networks where they rule like feudal barons.

Corporate America cut big checks to Trump. Now CEOs fear Democratic subpoenas are coming. Tech firms are hiring advisers to prepare for potential investigations if Republicans lose control of the House in November.

Dolly’s legacy will be felt in a million ways across East Tennessee, the nation and the world. We are honored to have documented part of that legacy in “The Library That Dolly Built.” We hope you watch the film, learn about the Imagination Library and consider supporting the program.
